Artspace Collective
The BEAR Subproject “ArtSpaces” uses community arts to engage members of ACB communities who are often missed by traditional outreach, promotion, or research. Through this creative engagement, the project aims to address health, justice, and equity issues, while ultimately sharing its research findings to spark further community discussion and action.
B.E.A.R

Tracks Survey
The Tracks survey among Black people in Alberta is conducted by Ribbon Rouge, in collaboration with Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). The purpose of the survey is to better understand the health of Black people, with a focus on HIV, other sexually transmitted infections (STI) and related factors.

It was created in response to findings from the national Journey Mapping Across Canada Project, which revealed deep inequities and systemic barriers faced by Black 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in accessing inclusive, affirming, and culturally competent care.

This health initiative is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) and is designed to improve equitable access to culturally responsive, stigma-free, and safe sexual health services for African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) communities in Alberta who are affected by HIV, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs).
